An established and highly respected bespoke construction business operating across the Cotswolds is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team. This is a rare opportunity to work on some of the region's finest private residential projects, including listed manor houses, heritage restorations, luxury refurbishments, bespoke country homes and architect-led developments valued in excess of £6 million.
The company has built an outstanding reputation for delivering exceptional craftsmanship, traditional building excellence and meticulous attention to detail across some of the most prestigious private residences in the Cotswolds. The successful individual will play a key commercial role across multiple high-quality projects, working closely with operational teams, private clients, architects, consultants and specialist subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered successfully from pre-construction through to final account.
Every project is bespoke, technically challenging and built around quality, craftsmanship and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing the commercial delivery of multiple prime residential projects
- Preparing budgets, cost plans and financial reporting
- Procuring and managing subcontractor packages
- Negotiating subcontractor accounts and variations
- Preparing valuations, interim applications and final accounts
- Managing project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Working closely with Contracts Managers, Site Managers and project teams
- Supporting project delivery from pre-construction through to completion
- Building strong relationships with private clients, architects and consultants
- Attending project meetings and providing commercial advice
- Maintaining accurate financial forecasting and reporting
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in high-end residential construction and a passion for delivering exceptional projects. Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential construction, strong experience delivering luxury residential, heritage or listed building projects, excellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledge, and experience managing projects valued up to £6 million and above are essential.
Due to the location of projects and the collaborative nature of the business, applicants should ideally live within approximately 45 minutes of the Cotswolds region.
