On behalf of UK Fusion Energy (UKFE), we are looking for a Employee Development Lead (Inside IR35) for a 12 months contract based in West Burton 3 days per week in the office. UK Fusion Energy (UKFE) is leading one of the UK's most ambitious and transformative energy programmes. Through the STEP (Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production) programme, UKFE is working to deliver a prototype fusion power plant and establish a pathway to the commercial deployment of fusion energy. Fusion has the potential to provide safe, sustainable, low-carbon energy on a global scale, helping to address climate change while strengthening future energy security. Working alongside the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and major engineering and industrial partners, UKFE is helping to position the UK as a global leader in fusion energy development. We are looking for an experienced Employee Development Lead to join our People Team and play a critical role in building organisational capability across UKFE. Reporting to the Talent Development Manager, you will lead the delivery of learning and development initiatives that support employee growth, workforce capability and organisational performance. You will be responsible for developing and managing learning programmes, overseeing digital learning platforms, supporting career development initiatives and helping to build the future talent pipeline through early careers programmes As a Employee Development Lead, your main responsibilities will be: * Design, coordinate and deliver engaging learning and development programmes that support organisational capability, employee performance and career growth. * Facilitate training sessions, workshops, induction programmes and development initiatives using a variety of learning methodologies. * Partner with internal subject matter experts and external providers to develop and deliver high-quality learning solutions. * Manage and optimise the organisation's Learning Management System (LMS) and digital learning platforms, ensuring content remains relevant, accessible and engaging. * Develop and maintain digital learning content, learning pathways and mandatory training programmes. * Monitor learner engagement, completion rates and compliance requirements, providing regular reporting and insights to stakeholders. * Support the development and implementation of workforce capability and skills strategies aligned to organisational objectives and future growth plans. * Lead the coordination and management of early careers programmes, including graduates, apprentices, industrial placements, internships and work experience opportunities. * Build strong partnerships with universities, colleges, training providers and industry organisations to strengthen future talent pipelines. * Develop and maintain career pathways, capability frameworks and development resources that support employee progression. * Collaborate with leaders, managers and subject matter experts to identify development needs and implement effective learning solutions. * Analyse learning and development data to assess effectiveness, measure impact and identify opportunities for improvement. * Stay informed of emerging learning technologies, methodologies and industry best practice to continuously enhance the employee learning experience. * Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and inclusion across the organisation. * Act as a role model for organisational values and contribute to a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
