Hours: 40 hours over 4 days + Overtime Available
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts: 6:00am - 3:00pm, 7:00am - 4:00pm, Fridays available as overtime
Are you an experienced CNC Miller, CNC Machine Operator, or CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator looking for a four-day working week with regular overtime? We are recruiting for an experienced CNC professional to join a precision engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering business, programming and setting high-quality universal milling machines to manufacture precision-engineered components.
The Role
- Program, set and operate CNC universal milling machines.
- Use Heidenhain controls to produce precision-machined components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Carry out machine set-ups, tool changes and first-off inspections.
- Ensure components meet quality and dimensional requirements.
- Maintain machinery and work areas to a high standard.
- Work closely with the production team to meet manufacturing deadlines.
About You
- Experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Operator, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter, CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, Precision Machinist, CNC Machinist.
- Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Experience using Heidenhain controls.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and measuring equipment.
