This role will play a key part in contributing to projects, objectives, and wider organisational goals. The Grid Manager is responsible for developing and executing grid connection strategies across a portfolio of onshore renewable energy projects. The role leads all aspects of grid connection activity from initial site screening through to energisation readiness, ensuring projects secure technically compliant, commercially viable and deliverable grid connections. The postholder will manage relationships with the National Energy System Operator (NESO), Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), Transmission Owners (TOs), Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) and specialist consultants. The role will provide expert advice to project teams on grid opportunities, risks, costs and programme implications.
