Role Summary As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a central role in delivering secure, scalable, and highly available digital services. Embedded within an agile, multidisciplinary team, you will drive end-to-end automation, build infrastructure as code (IaC), and enable rapid, reliable deployment from discovery through to live operation. Key Responsibilities Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain deployment pipelines and automation using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, ensuring alignment with national government digital standards. Agile Collaboration: Embed end-to-end automation across build, test, deployment, and infrastructure management to maximize operational efficiency. Best Practice Champion: Promote DevOps principles, conduct IaC reviews, share technical knowledge, and contribute to the broader delivery community. System Support & Monitoring: Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues to ensure high availability and performance, participating in second-line support and incident response where required. Proven expertise in designing and operating continuous integration and deployment pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Cloud & IaC: Strong proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) alongside IaC tools like Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible. Scripting & Programming: Solid hands-on coding or scripting ability in Python, Go, Bash, JavaScript, or PowerShell. DevOps Methodology: Sound knowledge of version control (Git), automated testing, security-by-design, and collaborative Agile workflows. Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as React.
