A well-established and highly respected main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to deliver a multi-building scheme on a live MOD base near Frome. The project will involve the construction of 3 new buildings alongside associated infrastructure and external works, therefore previous MOD and civil engineering experience is highly desirable. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality defence, commercial and specialist construction projects across the South.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of site operations on a live MOD environment
- Coordinating subcontractors, labour and materials on site
- Managing health & safety, RAMS and site compliance
- Overseeing civils, groundworks and building packages
- Monitoring programme and ensuring works are delivered to deadlines
- Liaising with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
- Maintaining quality standards throughout all phases of construction
- Site reporting, progress meetings and record keeping
Requirements:
- Previous Site Management experience within construction or civil engineering
- MOD / defence project experience highly advantageous
- Strong civils and groundworks background preferred
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid essential
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage works within live and secure environments
