We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing infrastructure services business that operates across the UK, delivering critical electrical works to commercial and industrial clients. This role will involve working independently across client sites, mainly fuel retail and forecourt environments to carry out electrical inspections and maintenance duties to ensure systems are working correctly and safely.
You will be completing test certifications, RAMS documentation and communicating with customers while always representing the business professionally. Ideally, the successful candidate will be based either centrally or to the north of Edinburgh or Glasgow with a willingness to work away occasionally due to the geographical spread of work across Scotland, where you will be responsible for ensuring all client sites in your region pass annual audits and are fully compliant with UK legislation.
CompEx 07-08 qualification (current or lapsed) would be desirable, however we are open to conversations with candidates who would like to develop into this, especially if they are CompEx 01-04 qualified. The role offers door to door pay, with daily overtime rates once you have completed your contracted hours which are paid at time and a half, plus allowances for any nights away meaning total earnings typically reach and exceed £55,000 per annum.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrician who takes real pride in their work, values autonomy, and wants to be part of a business that genuinely invests in and cares about their people.
The Role
- Performing electrical maintenance and inspections and testing for commercial and industrial clients regionally.
- Complete documentation such as test certifications and Risk Assessments/Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure compliance with audits and Health and Safety standards.
- Liaise with customers on site to discuss ongoing works and explore additional service opportunities.
- Communicate progress and findings with colleagues, including engineers, management and support staff.
- Largely working independently while still maintaining a strong teamwork mentality, with regular team interactions.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest of standards, always aware that you are representing the business to clients and the public.
- Must be able to travel to sites regionally that will include occasional overnight stays.
