The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing materials handling business. Working across a regional customer base, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment, ensuring customers receive a first-class service. The Role
- Carry out planned servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on forklift trucks and materials handling equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults efficiently.
- Complete repairs to a high standard, minimising customer downtime.
- Attend customer sites across your designated region.
- Complete service documentation accurately using company systems.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships and represent the business professionally.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience servicing, maintaining or repairing forklift trucks or materials handling equipment. You'll ideally have experience with:
- Counterbalance and Reach Trucks
- Electric, Diesel and LPG Forklift Trucks
- Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical Fault Finding
- Mobile Field Service or Workshop Engineering
Applicants from recognised materials handling manufacturers or dealerships are highly encouraged to apply. You should also:
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
- Be confident working independently in a customer-facing environment.
- Have strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Be organised, reliable and committed to delivering excellent service.
