Estimator Design and Build Fit Out
Office / Commercial Interiors
About the Company
Our client is a well-established and highly regarded regional Design and Build fit out contractor delivering high-quality Cat A and Cat B office interiors across the South of England, operating out of their head office local to Basingstoke.
The business has built a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and repeat work and continues to grow. They are now looking to add an ambitious Estimator to their team. This role would suit someone early in their estimating career who already has Design and Build experience and is keen to develop within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Estimator Role Description:
You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and management of tenders for commercial fit out projects up to circa £3m. Working closely with Directors, Project Managers and the wider commercial team, you will gain exposure to the full estimating process and have clear opportunities to progress as the business continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documentation
Prepare accurate cost plans, take-offs and estimates
Send out and manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries
Assess subcontractor returns and assist with value engineering
Support the pricing of variations and changes
Work closely with project delivery teams throughout the tender process
Assist in maintaining pricing databases and tender libraries
Estimator Criteria:
Experience working as an Estimator within a Design and Build fit out environment
Background in commercial or office interiors preferred
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good understanding of subcontractor procurement
Organised, motivated and keen to progress long term
Confident communicator who works well as part of a team
Benefits:
Salary up to circa £55,000 depending on experience
