We are recruiting a Project Manager for a main contractor on the outskirts of Brighton to lead a highways improvement scheme. The contractor has live projects across the South and South East working with local authorities, National Highways, Network Rail and the Environment Agency with individual projects upwards of £200m; therefore, main contractor experience is favourable.
The role will initially be hybrid, working between head office, the client's office and site to get the project to ground. This will include being the main point of contact for the client, coordinating design, technical aspects and onboarding the subcontractors ahead of work starting this autumn. It is essential you have an engineering background and proven experience of working on projects prior to their delivery.
Project Manager Duties:- Manage designers ensuring deliverables meet the client's requirements and buildability
- Assist with procurement of subcontractors and wider supply for the project's needs
- Administer the NEC contract, and overall commercial support with the project team
- Review and resolve technical queries from site and design teams, keeping decisions documented and programme impact minimal
The package reflects the role, car allowance/car, bonus scheme, pension contributions and 26 days holiday (option to sell/purchase).
