We are working in close partnership with one of the world's most innovative tech companies with one of the largest R&D teams in the world with approximately 80,000 employees in their research centres. A household name, their products are used by hundreds of millions of people. We are looking to recruit an exceptional Database Senior Researcher for their Edinburgh R&D centre which forms part of the Β£3 billion+ they have committed to their British research operations.
The main responsibilities will be:
- Perform systems research and empirical science on current and future database management systems.
- Analyse and understand requirements for the next generation of database storage and query processing engines.
- Design, implement and deploy key technical building blocks for the next generation of database management systems.
If you are comfortable with research methodology and you have a solid computer science background with experience in system-level programming languages (C, C++, Java, Rust or Go), that's your new challenge!
