Our client is a rapidly growing retailer with over 150 stores in the UK and a growing Online, Concessions and International business. They have ambitious plans for further growth across both the UK and International markets, and are well known for their customer centric approach, ethics, and fantastic range of innovative products.
They are now looking for a Digital Trading Executive to be based out of their brand-new head office in Amersham. As their Digital Trading Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing the category performance of their UK web channels and Amazon. Your main objective will be to implement the digital trading strategy at a category level to drive sales growth. You will have a background in ecommerce, having worked in a similar role within a retail business. A solid understanding of digital trading, proficiency in Excel and Google Analytics, and preferably some experience with Amazon.
This is a commercial role, requiring you to be a strategic thinker, analytical, and comfortable working with financial data and digital insights.
Responsibilities:- Analyse and report on daily, weekly, and monthly performance, drawing insights and making trade suggestions to drive growth.
- Present findings in meetings and via email to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the Buying, Merchandising, and logistics teams to manage the digital trade calendar, product launches, stock levels and pricing.
- Work with the wider digital team to enhance performance, recommending opportunities and ideas to increase sales.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for UK digital channels at the category level.
- Manage the critical path for new product launches, promotional activities, and campaign activations.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities for growth.
- Trading and commercial acumen with at least 1 years' experience in a retail/ecommerce buying/trading role.
- Detailed understanding of ecommerce, with hands-on experience of merchandising, customer journeys, digital marketing and web analytics.
- Analytical with strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
- Experience of using Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using PowerBi and Content Square preferable.
- Experience using Amazon Marketplace preferable.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Experience in conducting regular competitor analysis to identify market trends.
