Connaught Resourcing is partnered with an established provider of specialist nursing services to appoint permanent Diabetes Specialist Nurses to join their national diabetes team. The roles in question are hybrid positions with no weekend working involved.
Our client has an exceptional reputation for providing guideline level care for patients with diabetes and respiratory conditions in both primary and secondary care across the UK.
In this role you will be responsible for carrying out patient reviews and conducting specialist clinics, using your in-depth knowledge to advise and support general practice staff. You will have the opportunity to work in specialist clinics, homes and from home as part of this hybrid position.
This position requires travel across the Gloucestershire for clinic duties. Travel distances will be based on your home postcode, with clinics located within a 1-1.5 hour radius.
In order to qualify for this role, you must have the following:
- Diabetes diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years experience (post registration) managing diabetes within primary care
- Knowledgeable and confident in the provision of education, support and advice to people with Type 2 Diabetes
- Skills and knowledge in the optimisation of oral hypoglycaemics
- Full driving licence
- Current NMC registration
- IT literacy, to include primary care systems
Pay Rates:
Β£40,000-44,000 (dependent on qualifications and level of experience)
Hours:
- Full-time - five days per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30-17:30)
- Part-time - four days a week (Between Monday to Friday, 8:30-17:30)
