The predicted salary is between 55000 - 70000 £ per year.

You'll be joining an experienced software development function, working in a cross-functional team, delivering and deploying applications and software to cloud or on-prem environments across National Security projects. The team delivers DevSecOps at scale, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cyber and geospatial intelligence capabilities to support the defence, intelligence and cyber sectors. Collaborating with customers and suppliers to deliver secure, mission-critical systems using the latest technologies and innovations.

Due to the nature of work, and the sector this team is working in, we require all candidates to currently hold an active DV or eDV UK Security Clearance.

Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model
  • Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure)
  • Infrastructure as code e.g. Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible etc.
  • Experience in building and deploying large-scale applications in Continuous Integration/Delivery pipelines
  • Container platform and orchestration systems ECS, AKS, Kubernetes/helm/Docker
  • Experience in automation and integration tools such as Jenkins, Concourse CI or cloud equivalents
  • Experience in scripting languages and source control
Responsibilities:
  • Building and setting up development tools and infrastructure
  • Understand the needs of project stakeholders
  • Automate and improve development and release processes
  • Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cyber security threats
  • Identify technical problems and develop software updates and solutions
  • Work with other engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
