An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Registered Manager to join Daystars Home Ltd and lead one of their specialist children's residential homes in Maidstone, Kent. The home supports children and young people with Learning Disabilities and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, providing a smaller, nurturing environment where therapeutic care can flourish.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will provide strong leadership and oversight of the home, ensuring children receive high-quality, therapeutic and individualised care. You will:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the children's home
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment
  • Champion trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
  • Lead, support and develop the staff team

About You

We welcome applications from both experienced Registered Managers and Assistant Managers within residential children's services who are ready to take the next step in their career. You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working within a residential children's setting
  • Experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities and/or emotional and behavioural needs
  • A genuine commitment to trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A passion for creating safe and nurturing environments for children
  • The ability to work collaboratively with professionals and external agencies
  • A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management is required, or you must be willing to complete this within the first two years of employment. This role is subject to a successful Enhanced DBS Check.
