We're recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bed children's home in Chaddesden, Derby, supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

The home is fully prepared and ready for registration, with the staffing team already in place, policies and procedures completed, and all groundwork undertaken. As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the registration, leadership, and day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to establish a positive culture, build strong relationships with local authorities, and create an environment where children can thrive.

  • Lead the home through Ofsted registration and opening
  • Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people
  • Maintain excellent safeguarding practices and risk management processes
  • Build positive relationships with local authorities and external professionals
  • Drive positive outcomes for children across education, wellbeing, and independence
  • Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections
  • Monitor quality assurance, compliance, and service development

Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care is essential, along with a track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes. A strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards is required, as well as a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and outcomes for children. A full UK Driving Licence is preferred.
