ob Advertisement: Caretaker – Camden Council Location: Camden Council Caretakers Office, Northiam (Basement), London, WC1H 8LB Rate of Pay: £21.02 per hour (umbrella) Contract Duration: 17th November 2024 – 31st December 2024 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:15 Camden Council's Caretaking Service is integral to creating and maintaining safe, well-managed communities, ensuring the health and wellbeing of our residents. We are looking for a dedicated Caretaker to join our team, providing a visible and responsive caretaking service on housing estates and selected street properties. Key Responsibilities: High-Quality Cleaning: Ensure high standards of cleanliness for both internal and external areas of residential buildings within the estate. Waste Management and Grounds Maintenance: Oversee and support performance in these areas in collaboration with the Council's service teams and contractors. Health and Safety Oversight: Manage health and safety issues on-site and support first responders during emergencies. Community Support: Act as the first point of contact for residents, providing advice and support, especially for those who require additional assistance while living independently.Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in caretaking, housing management, or a related field. Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders. Effective decision-making skills, particularly in challenging situations.
