A leading Manufacturer in Cardiff is seeking a Mechatronics / Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding R&D team. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge electro-mechanical products, contributing to the full product life cycle from concept to commercial launch. The role is initially for 12 months with a view to becoming permanent.
This position is based at the UHW Campus, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 09.00-17.00.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing electro-mechanical system designs
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Supporting regulatory submissions
Requirements:
- MEng / MPhys in Mechatronics Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in product development, particularly involving electro-mechanical systems (ISO 13485/21 CFR Part 820 / MDR, IEC 60601)
- Basic MCU programming or embedded system knowledge
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
