We are recruiting for an experienced CNC professional to join our clients growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with large, high-value components using advanced CNC machinery in a modern precision engineering environment.
The Role
- You'll be responsible for programming, setting and operating a large universal bed-type milling machine with a 4.5-metre table using Heidenhain iTNC 530 controls.
- Working from engineering drawings, you'll produce high-quality precision-machined components while maintaining excellent standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set and operate a large CNC bed-type milling machine.
- Machine precision components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Use Heidenhain iTNC 530 controls.
- Carry out machine set-ups and tool changes.
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet manufacturing deadlines.
About You
- Looking for someone with experience as a: CNC Miller, CNC Operator, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter, CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, Precision Machinist, Manual Machinist.
- Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Previous experience using Heidenhain controls (iTNC 530 preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- A proactive and reliable approach to work.
Desirable
- Experience operating a manual centre lathe.
- Experience machining large components.
- Background in precision engineering or heavy engineering.
