A leading Facilities Management company is currently recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join their team on a healthcare contract in Birmingham. This organisation is well-established within the FM industry and is known for delivering high-quality maintenance services across critical environments. About the Role
Working as part of a dedicated on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive works within a live healthcare environment. This role follows a rotating shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off (7-7), offering a strong work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
- Fault finding and repairing electrical systems
- Working on lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms and small power
- Assisting with plant room maintenance and building services systems
- Completing logbooks and ensuring compliance documentation is up to date
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety regulations
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- City & Guilds Level 2 or 3
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience working within facilities maintenance
- Experience within healthcare environments (desirable but not essential)
