Position: Experienced Plumber / Heating Installer
Location: Schools throughout Hampshire and Basingstoke
Pay: £240 per shift (subject to experience)
Contract Type: Ongoing refurbishment works
Start Date: Immediate starts available
Role Overview We are seeking experienced plumbers to carry out mechanical and heating refurbishment works across multiple school sites in Hampshire and the Basingstoke area. The works primarily involve the replacement of radiators, steel pipework, and fan coil heaters as part of planned upgrade and refurbishment programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove existing radiators, steel pipework and fan coil heaters
- Install new radiators, associated steel pipework and fan coil units to required specifications
- Carry out pipework modifications, connections, pressure testing and commissioning
- Ensure all installations are completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines and site specifications
- Maintain clean, safe working practices within occupied or partially occupied school environments
- Coordinate with site supervisors, other trades and the clients project team
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including risk assessments and method statements as required
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a plumber on commercial or educational refurbishment projects
- Strong practical experience replacing radiators, steel pipework and fan coil heaters
- Relevant plumbing qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence and reliable transport
- Ability to work to programme across multiple school sites
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one process can be supported)
Desirable
- Previous experience working in schools or other educational establishments
- Knowledge of commercial heating systems and fan coil units
- Own tools and PPE
