The Project Controls Officer is responsible for supporting the successful planning, monitoring, reporting and control of project delivery across a portfolio of renewable energy projects. The role provides assurance that project scope, schedule, cost, risk, governance and performance information are maintained accurately and reported effectively to enable informed decision-making. Working closely with Development Managers, Delivery Managers, Commercial teams, Finance, Procurement, Enterprise PMO and external delivery partners, the Project Controls Officer ensures that appropriate controls, processes and governance arrangements are established and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Planning & Scheduling * Support development and maintenance of integrated project plans and schedules * Track critical path activities, dependencies and project interfaces * Coordinate project updates from multidisciplinary teams Cost Control & Performance Monitoring * Support project budget tracking and forecasting activities * Assist in preparing cost reports and variance analysis * Maintain project performance dashboards and KPIs Risk, Issues & Change Management * Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) * Coordinate risk reviews and mitigation actions * Monitor resolution of project issues * Produce weekly and monthly project performance reports * Prepare governance packs, steering committee papers and management reports * Ensure project documentation is accurate, controlled and auditable * Data & Information Management * Maintain project management systems and reporting tools * Ensure project controls data is accurate, complete and current * Support document control and configuration management processes * Develop visual reports and dashboards using project controls systems Coordinate information requests across project teams * Work closely with Finance, Commercial, Procurement, Enterprise PMO and Delivery functions * Support communication of project performance and key risks to senior stakeholders * Participate in the GBE Project Management Community of Practice PMI CAPM/PMP * Project Controls or Planning qualifications Experience supporting complex infrastructure, construction, energy or capital projects * Understanding of project controlsdisciplines including: * Planning & scheduling * Risk management * Ability to analyse project data and identify emerging issues * Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills * Strong Microsoft Project Skills * Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills * Experience using Primavera P6, Power BI or similar tools * Personal Qualities: * Works collaboratively, valuing different perspectives and building inclusive relationships * Competitive base salary * Performance-related bonus scheme * Excellent pension scheme * 4x salary life assurance * 38 days annual leave * Flexible working arrangements * Ongoing professional development and training *
