We are looking for an Electrician with Facilities Maintenance experience, ideally experience gained in a health care environment but other commercial environments also considered.
Job Location: Based at Goodmayes Hospital, Ilford. Goodmayes is a mental health hospital, so experience in this environment is useful but not essential. There are a couple of other local sites.
Responsibilities:
- Planned Maintenance: Emergency light testing, fire alarm checks, and scheduled PPM tasks.
- Reactive and remedial Electrical works: Fault-finding and repairs for lighting, power issues, replacing lamps, lights, pumps, motors, and conducting 2nd-fix tasks such as sockets and switches and general electrical problems.
- Assisting with other trades and completing other general building fabric repairs.
Requirements:
- Multi-skilled individual but with an electrical bias, ideally having Level 3 Electrical Installation and 18th edition.
- Van and fuel card provided.
- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
- Would need to get involved with on-call for emergency/make safe works. Roughly one week every month where they could get called out evenings/weekend.
- Overtime paid at either time and a half if Monday to Saturday or double time if Sunday or Bank Holiday.
- Candidate will need a UK driving license, not been banned in the past 5 years, and no more than 6 points on their license.
