About the Role:
We are seeking a multi-skilled Welder/Fabricator to join a long-established and respected engineering manufacturing company. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be involved in the fabrication of high-quality food processing equipment for both UK and international clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fabrication using stainless steel (1.0mm – 12mm), including pipework and purge welding.
- Use both TIG and Synergic MIG welding techniques.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, understanding tolerances and bend allowances.
- Operate fabrication and sheet-metal machinery with precision.
- Work collaboratively in the main production area or on-site at client locations.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety, quality, and production standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with stainless steel.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and machinery.
- A team player with a proactive attitude and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work on-site when required.
Desirable Qualifications:
- City & Guilds in Welding and Fabrication or
- Completion of an apprenticeship in a recognised engineering environment.
