Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality Engineer with strong CMM inspection experience. The successful candidate will primarily operate CMM equipment while supporting wider quality engineering activities within a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is hands-on and inspection-focused, with additional quality engineering responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and run CMM inspections using:
- LK Altera 15.10.8
- Camio (2022)
- Focus (2021)
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience operating bridge-type CMM machines (LK experience desirable)
- Working knowledge of Camio or similar CMM software
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Experience inspecting precision machined components
- Ability to read and interpret complex aerospace engineering drawings
- Experience within an aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of quality processes and non-conformance management
Desirable
- Some experience with CMM programming (not essential)
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards
- Experience with FAIR documentation
- Exposure to chemically etched or SMW components
