We’re recruiting for an Electrical Assembly Technician to join a well-established engineering manufacturer in the Tamworth area. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role assembling and wiring precision-built machinery and control panels for specialist industrial applications. The position offers day shifts only, a clean and organised working environment, and the opportunity to work as part of a skilled, supportive production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical and mechanical assembly of machinery, sub-assemblies, and components
- Control panel wiring from electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Building and testing of finished machines ready for dispatch
- Carrying out pneumatic installations (training can be provided)
- Inspection and quality checks on completed builds
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety
- Assisting with packaging, finishing, and other workshop duties
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in electro-mechanical or electrical assembly
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Skilled in panel wiring, mechanical fitting, and fault-finding
- Good practical knowledge of tools, components, and workshop safety
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship
- Team player who can also work independently
- Manual handling experience beneficial (forklift licence an advantage)
