Role Overview – Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will take ownership of the upkeep and repair of production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. You\’ll be involved in planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown repairs, and occasional installation work.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintenance and repair of a wide range of engineering equipment including lathes, mills, drills, polishers, and fabrication machinery.
• Perform mechanical fault-finding and repair, with occasional electrical and plumbing work as needed.
• Support site-wide maintenance activities including general repairs, installation, and equipment fitting.
• Participate in PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Quality standards at all times, both on-site and in workshop settings.
• Work collaboratively with other engineers and production teams to meet operational targets.
The Ideal Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Will Have:
• A strong mechanical engineering background with proven hands-on experience.
• Some working knowledge of electrical systems (qualifications desirable but not essential).
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot effectively.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with good communication skills.
