Responsible for creating a pipeline of new customers suited to IDMS (Integrated Design & Manufacturing Solutions) in line with the business plan. Focus will be on customers in identified markets capable of delivering >£1m per annum and key Start-up businesses, which we can help achieve their growth ambitions. Critical to the success of customer development and retention will be ensuring a structured introduction and transition into the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define a strategy for identifying customers in key markets capable of delivering revenue requirements and create an ongoing assessment model to monitor progress and identify decision timing requirements.
- Develop understanding of all customers, their markets and their historical & forecast performance.
- Champion initial bid review meetings, ensuring all information is available to allow a comprehensive review to take place.
- Provide a pipeline of new customers.
- Undertake due diligence during early stages of prospecting to ascertain alignment with customer requirements and their financial status.
- Support and help drive the marketing and branding at networking and industry events.
- Understand and promote key differentiators.
- Create and maintain a sales forecast and delivery against targets.
- Lead reviews of your customers covering forecast, orders, visits and customer activity.
- Support nominated existing customers and developed business by introducing them to additional services.
- Develop effective working relationships and communication across the team.
- Manage the weekly and monthly status report process.
- Contribute to quarterly business reviews and provide relevant data to share with the business.
- Write and distribute visit reports after customer meetings.
- Ensure consistent communication across all functions.
Skills & Experience:
- Ideally degree qualified in a relevant technical or business subject.
- Proven experience in a Sales role.
- Background in Electronics Manufacturing or related industry.
- A level of technical understanding of electronics design and manufacturing.
- Structured with an attention to detail.
- Professional and calm under pressure.
- Cross-functional experience.
- Demonstrable experience in managing multiple projects.
- Ability to prioritise & manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work on own initiative and in teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
