About the Role:

Are you passionate about precision engineering? Do you have a strong understanding of the turning process and the ability to work to tight tolerances and surface finishes? We specialise in manufacturing low-volume, high-quality tubular and threaded components, and due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our engineering team with an experienced 2 Axis CNC Turner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate 2 axis CNC turning machines
  • Work confidently with components up to Ø300mm x 3m in length (lifting equipment provided)
  • Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and standards
  • Ensure high-quality finishes and adherence to tight tolerances
  • Maintain a clean and efficient working environment
  • Collaborate with the team to meet production targets

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating 2 axis CNC lathes
  • Strong knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and geometric tolerances
  • Experience with Fanuc controls is advantageous
  • Background in a machine shop environment
  • Self-motivated, quality-focused, and able to work independently
  • Hoist training will be provided if required

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 2:30pm
  • Holiday: 20 days + 8 bank holidays + bonus holiday over the Christmas period
