About the Role:
Are you passionate about precision engineering? Do you have a strong understanding of the turning process and the ability to work to tight tolerances and surface finishes? We specialise in manufacturing low-volume, high-quality tubular and threaded components, and due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our engineering team with an experienced 2 Axis CNC Turner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set, and operate 2 axis CNC turning machines
- Work confidently with components up to Ø300mm x 3m in length (lifting equipment provided)
- Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and standards
- Ensure high-quality finishes and adherence to tight tolerances
- Maintain a clean and efficient working environment
- Collaborate with the team to meet production targets
Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating 2 axis CNC lathes
- Strong knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and geometric tolerances
- Experience with Fanuc controls is advantageous
- Background in a machine shop environment
- Self-motivated, quality-focused, and able to work independently
- Hoist training will be provided if required
