We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Service & Assembly Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting the repair, servicing and assembly of industrial equipment. This role offers a mix of workshop-based mechanical assembly and repair alongside occasional field service work at customer sites. It would suit a practical engineer who enjoys fault finding, rebuilding mechanical equipment and working from engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical servicing, fault finding and repairs
- Strip, inspect and rebuild returned equipment
- Perform mechanical assembly and bench fitting
- Work from engineering drawings and parts lists
- Assemble and test equipment to specification
- Support on-site service work and commissioning when required
- Produce basic repair reports
Experience Required
- Background in mechanical service, maintenance or repair
- Experience with mechanical assemblies
- Knowledge of pneumatics or hydraulics
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience using hand tools and workshop equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
