We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Service & Assembly Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting the repair, servicing and assembly of industrial equipment. This role offers a mix of workshop-based mechanical assembly and repair alongside occasional field service work at customer sites. It would suit a practical engineer who enjoys fault finding, rebuilding mechanical equipment and working from engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical servicing, fault finding and repairs
  • Strip, inspect and rebuild returned equipment
  • Perform mechanical assembly and bench fitting
  • Work from engineering drawings and parts lists
  • Assemble and test equipment to specification
  • Support on-site service work and commissioning when required
  • Produce basic repair reports

Experience Required

  • Background in mechanical service, maintenance or repair
  • Experience with mechanical assemblies
  • Knowledge of pneumatics or hydraulics
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience using hand tools and workshop equipment
