We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established manufacturing business in Bedford. This role will focus on the setting and operation of CNC milling machines within a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture components to specification
- Select appropriate tooling and prepare machine setups
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Inspect finished components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met
- Identify and resolve machining issues to maintain efficient production
- Work closely with the production team to meet build schedules
- Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping in the work area
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller
- Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience using inspection and measuring equipment
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
- Good mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment
