This role is a highly visible opportunity to lead data science initiatives within a growing market intelligence provider. You will influence modelling direction, technical decisions and delivery timelines to build, test, and optimise solutions that feed into intelligence and forecasting led products, with responsibility for forecasting, modelling, analysis and insight generation, and data acquisition and integration. The role supports evolving the company’s market intelligence offering as the business expands globally.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of data science activity for the group; engage with leadership, research/analyst and data engineering teams on modelling direction, technical decisions, and delivery timelines.
- Build, test, and optimise solutions that feed into intelligence and forecasting led products.
- Lead forecasting and modelling, analysis and insight generation; oversee data acquisition and integration.
- Contribute to thought leadership, best practices, and data science strategy for the group over time.
- Enhance the overall market intelligence offering as the company expands globally.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Data Scientist in scale-ups or fast-moving environments; comfortable with ownership and autonomy.
- Proficient in Python, machine learning, temporal datasets and geospatial data.
- Experience with market intelligence or data analytics products (via research/intelligence agency, consultancy, or similar) is advantageous.
