Resourcery Group are working with a leading manufacturing company based in the South Manchester region to bring on board a Finance Manager for a 6 month period. Our client is going through an exciting period of change following recent acquisitions. Due to ongoing internal projects supporting this change, they require an experienced Finance Manager with a strong financial accounting background to join the team. This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week on site and 2 WFH.

The Finance Manager’s role:

  • Preparation of the annual statutory accounts, including the collection of information from the wider business
  • Management of the annual corporation tax pack, submitting the initial information request to their outsourced tax advisors and resolving any queries raised
  • Review and submission of the quarterly VAT returns, and first point of contact for tax queries
  • Manage the month end close, including the drafting of the management accounts to be delivered to the Financial Controller
  • Manage the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and implement a new balance sheet review meeting with the Financial Controller
  • Support transition to a new country wide Financial Accounting team, in place of the existing legal entity specific one

The ideal candidate:

  • A fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or potentially QBE with significant experience
  • Be able to commit to 3 days per week in the office
  • Have strong financial accounting skills
  • Experienced in working with larger sized companies
  • Have strong communication skills and be able to work as part of a wider finance team
