Senior Financial Accountant for a brilliant, growing business based in South Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to join a profitable manufacturing business with a fantastic reputation.
The ideal candidate will have experience of producing Financial Accounts and will have worked in the manufacturing industry. The Senior Financial Accountant will work closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership group as they embark on an exciting phase of growth. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be proactive, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of financial accounts
- Posting and reviewing key journals, including inter company adjustments, accruals, and tax journals.
- Conduct variance analysis against budgets and provide commentary for board reports.
- Assist in the production of statutory accounts and group consolidations.
- Preparation of consolidated cash flow statements.
- Review and prepare quarterly VAT returns and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations.
- Support external audits and regulatory filings.
- Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering with operational teams.
- Fully qualified accountant.
- Experience in management and statutory accounts preparation.
- Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
- Knowledge of UK VAT
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Organised, adaptable, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
