We are delighted to partner with a prestigious and reputable Not-for-Profit organisation based in Liverpool, in search of a Financial Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the team, reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing a professional financial accounting service to the organisation and its subsidiaries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of statutory accounts and management of tax and VAT reporting.
- Assisting with finance due diligence reviews.
- Managing and controlling the balance sheet.
- Collaborating with the Finance Manager to forecast the balance sheet and cash flow.
- Preparing external financial and statutory returns for the organisation and its subsidiaries.
- Undertaking ad hoc duties as required.
The successful candidate will have the following experience and exposure:
- Proven experience in External Audit.
- Comprehensive understanding of statutory financial reporting requirements.
- Proficient in the preparation and review of statutory accounts.
- Demonstrated experience working in a complex financial environment.
- Preparation of detailed VAT returns and Corporation Tax computations.
- Part or fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA.
