A global PLC in Liverpool is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team. This organisation has a large finance team with a variety of different roles, so for someone who is studying towards their qualifications, it's a great environment to learn and progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the production of management accounts and reporting, putting together the P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow
  • Monthly forecasting
  • VAT returns
  • Supporting with monthly payroll and posting journal
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Support wider finance teams with reports and analysis on an ad hoc basis

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast paced business in a similar role with month end exposure (accruals and prepayments)
  • Ideally be AAT qualified (late AAT studier/early stages CIMA/ACCA studier will also be considered)
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • A good team player, who can also work well individually
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well organised and good prioritisation skills
