Resourcery Group are supporting a well‑established, market‑leading business to recruit a talented Financial Controller to join their high‑performing finance team. With a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and service excellence, this organisation continues to grow and evolve within a fast‑paced, dynamic market. You’ll be based at their modern head office in Cheshire, working closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team to drive financial performance and continuous improvement across the business.

The Role

This is a pivotal role overseeing all aspects of the finance function — from statutory reporting and compliance to strategic financial planning and systems improvement. You’ll lead a small, skilled team and play a key role in supporting decision‑making through accurate, insightful reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities include :

• Overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the finance team (4 direct reports)
• Managing the preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets and year‑end reporting
• Acting as the key contact for external auditors and tax advisers
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and other regulatory reporting requirements
• Leading improvements to financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls
