Resourcery Group are working with a brilliant client in Liverpool as they look to hire a new Group Financial Accountant. Our client is a market leader in their field and has an excellent reputation. The business has grown significantly in recent years and the Group Financial Accountant will be a key part of a high performing and well respected finance team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to make their first or second move away from practice.

As Group Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in overseeing the group balance sheet, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with relevant accounting standards. You will support statutory reporting processes at both group and entity level, while contributing to improvements in reporting quality and financial governance.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting preparation and review of consolidated and statutory accounts
  • Assisting with year-end processes, including audit coordination
  • Producing technical accounting papers for internal and external stakeholders
  • Overseeing capital asset processes and ensuring appropriate capitalisation
  • Acting as a key contact for revenue recognition matters
  • Strengthening balance sheet review processes across the business
  • Supporting budgeting processes and month-end reconciliations
  • Contributing to process improvements and financial control enhancements
  • Assisting with financial risk management and reporting
About You

  • Background in audit/practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
