A global PLC in Liverpool is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team. This organisation has a large finance team with a variety of different roles, so for someone who is studying towards their qualifications, it's a great environment to learn and progress.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the production of management accounts and reporting, putting together the P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow
- Monthly forecasting
- VAT returns
- Supporting with monthly payroll and posting journal
- Accruals and prepayments
- Support wider finance teams with reports and analysis on an ad hoc basis
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast paced business in a similar role with month end exposure (accruals and prepayments)
- Ideally be AAT qualified (late AAT studier/early stages CIMA/ACCA studier will also be considered)
- Ability to work well under pressure in a deadline driven environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- A good team player, who can also work well individually
- Strong attention to detail
- Well organised and good prioritisation skills
