The Opportunity
As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering insightful financial analysis and supporting business decision‑making across the organisation. Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders, you will help drive value, improve business performance, and provide meaningful financial information that supports strategic objectives. This role would suit an analytically minded finance professional who enjoys working with data, influencing stakeholders, and turning financial information into actionable insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed financial analysis to support cost reviews and performance evaluation.
- Produce meaningful financial information and variance analysis for operational teams and senior stakeholders.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on improving value for money and organisational effectiveness.
- Assist with the preparation of reporting packs and ad‑hoc financial analysis.
- Build strong relationships across the business to ensure the finance team remains informed of operational changes, staffing developments, and growth opportunities.
- Support monthly reporting processes and quarterly forecasting cycles.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong experience within a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Management Accountant or similar analytical finance role.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working within a medium to large organisation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.
- Experience within a regulated environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
