You will be working closely with the Financial Controller and senior leadership group in this visible role.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, The Senior Financial Accountant be a key figure in improving financial reporting standards across this large Liverpool based business which will also allow you to gain broader, commercial responsibilities.

Main duties will include;

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation reports across multiple legal entities.
  • Produce Financial Accounts accounts and statutory financial statements.
  • Support the year-end audit process and act as a key contact for external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Review and reconcile inter-company balances and transactions.
  • Prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations and technical accounting papers.
  • Support the preparation of annual reports and financial disclosures.
  • Assist with acquisition accounting and the integration of new entities into the group structure.
  • Drive improvements to financial reporting processes, controls, and systems.
  • Partner with finance teams across the business to ensure reporting consistency and accuracy.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
