Supply Chain Analyst
Job Location: Poole, Dorset
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm & Friday 8am – 4pm
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Analyst to work with a leading company who design, manufacture and supply products to both the B2C & B2B market.
This well‑known company has been established over 35 years and prides itself on its wide range of high quality and in‑demand products they have to offer and are now seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to support the team.
This is a busy position that will include assisting the Supply Chain Analyst in daily tasks to ensure all admin and stock ordering processes are maintained.
This position would suit an individual who possesses excellent communication skills along with analytical, forecasting and reporting skills as you will be maintaining relationships with suppliers as well as ensuring orders are running smoothly.
Key responsibilities within this role will include:
- Working closely with the team to plan and schedule product availability and optimising stock holding, working with Far East suppliers / UK customers to maintain the business\’s KPI targets
- Using forecasting management tools / web portals and Excel you will help support the Supply Chain Analyst in forecasting order requirements to the supplier base
- Assisting with report generation, data analysis and forecasting
- Liaising with suppliers regarding order requirements
- Monitoring the order books to ensure timely delivery
- Working closely with Far East suppliers to expedite and defer orders
- Supporting the Supply Chain Analyst to plan for range changes, exits and seasonal stock inputs.
- Communicating customer requirements across the business to ensure they are met, understood and delivered
- Provide a professional and friendly service to customers at all times
- Administration duties including ensuring portals and databases are kept up to date with performance and progress
The successful applicant will possess:
- Excellent IT skills especially with MS Excel / Outlook
- Experience within a similar supply chain / purchasing / analytical position
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to keep tight deadlines
- The ability to contribute to team success but also work autonomously
- Good administrative and data analysis skills
