We are working with a well-established engineering company who are seeking to add a Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Lead to their team. The role will see you responsible for the company’s Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental systems, their accreditation requirements and compliance to the relevant ISO standards. The promotion of best practices in support of employee involvement in Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental awareness and improvement activities.
Key Activities
- Ensure that the quality system is maintained and improved, in accordance with the accreditation requirements of ISO9001:2015.
- Ensure compliance with all other statutory, regulatory and customer required standards.
- Review, Analyse and Report on the performance of the company quality systems.
- Work to identify any training needs.
- Work to improve all aspects of the quality section, including product, process improvements, process engineering activities and project control.
- Check and approve manufacturing documentation.
- Responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements including, but not restricted to, staff inductions, fire precautions, First Aid requirements, PAT testing.
- Responsible for the work environment including recycling and disposal of hazardous materials.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills / experience:
- Educated in a relevant engineering discipline or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
- A working experience within a Quality and HSE role gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experienced in using measuring equipment such as CMM.
- Experience in implementing and developing Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMs).
- Work to a high standard of accuracy, well-presented and confident PC skills - Microsoft Office suite.
- Gathering, analysing and reporting on key H&S data/statistics.
- A motivated and a self-starter able to work on own initiative. The ability to work in a team environment or alone when required.
- NEBOSH qualification would be an advantage.
