Job Location: Poole, Dorset (nr Fleetsbridge)

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm & Friday 8am – 4pm

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Product Development Assistant to join a fast-paced and established homewares brand. This is a varied and hands-on role where you will provide support across product, product development, and sales, helping to bring new ranges to market while ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. You will play a key role in coordinating projects, managing data, and keeping communication flowing with suppliers.

Working within a small, collaborative team, you will need to be confident juggling multiple deadlines, comfortable working within systems, and proactive in keeping projects on track. A genuine passion for products and development will set you apart. You will support the continued growth of the product range, working closely with Far East factories and suppliers to deliver products on time and in line with critical path deadlines. This role offers great exposure across the full product lifecycle, from initial development through to launch and sales support.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day support across product, development, and sales administration
  • Supporting product growth by analysing data, improving processes, and sharing updates with the wider team
  • Managing samples and prototypes, including ordering, tracking, reviewing feedback, and identifying improvements
  • Maintaining accurate product data and system information across internal databases
  • Managing spreadsheets for product launches, range updates, and sales tracking
  • Ensuring product information remains accurate and consistent across customer websites
  • Taking a hands-on role in reviewing physical product samples
  • Completing customer data sheets, managing portal uploads, and preparing product images and files to required specifications
