Are you reliable, hardworking and looking to build a long-term career in construction and installation? We are seeking a Fitters Mate to join a growing installation team.
With a strong workload and ongoing projects, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established business offering full training, career progression and the opportunity to develop into a Lead Fitter role.
As a Fitters Mate, you will work alongside an experienced Lead Fitter assisting with the installation of decking and associated accessories. The role involves travelling to sites within approximately a two-hour radius of the South Coast and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Lead Fitter with the installation of decking and accessories.
- Check materials prior to loading and ensure all required items are available.
- Assist with cleaning and finishing installed products.
- Ensure warranty labels are applied where required.
- Help maintain clean and tidy work areas during and after installation.
- Return surplus materials in good condition.
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean and tidy condition.
Skills & experience required
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Previous experience of fitting/ carpentry or joinery
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions.
