Job Location: Near Wyke Regis, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Depending on level of experience, £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Overtime: Overtime when available is paid at premium rates (x 1.5 and x 2)

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday

Benefits: 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension scheme, regular salary reviews, career development & training plus company van

A leading specialist mechanical engineering company who has a great reputation in the industry for their experience, expertise and high level of workmanship are currently recruiting for an Industrial Engineer to join the business. This is an exciting opportunity for an Engineer who is a ‘jack of all trades’ as you will be working on a range of industrial equipment ranging from (but not limited to); roller doors, lifting equipment, plant equipment to industrial machines.

You will be undertaking a varied workload, where you could be undertaking repairs, servicing or breakdowns both in the workshop or onsite at customers' premises. This role would suit applicants who have experience of working as a Mechanic, Industrial Engineer, Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, Plant Fitter or Mobile Service Engineer.

Due to the broad skills and experience of being able to fix anything they are the first port of call for many companies. As an Industrial Engineer we are looking for the successful applicants to possess the following:

  • Experience of working with either mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic equipment
  • Any relevant formal qualifications would be advantageous but not essential i.e. City & Guilds / NVQ or HNC / HND in relevant engineering course
  • Able to find / come up with solutions to fix equipment problems
  • Driving licence is essential for the role
