Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.45pm
We are currently recruiting for a Machine Shop Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing company. The role will see you working alongside the machinists and undertaking a variety of duties to help out within this department, including:
- Operating machines
- Loading and unloading materials
- Part marking and etching
- Grinding
- Moving parts from stores to the machine shop and back into the finished goods area
- Keeping the workshop clean and tidy
- Helping out with any other tasks required to help the machine shop operate smoothly
This is a really nice company to work for and we have been told that this is a 3 to 6-month contract that could go longer.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working within an engineering environment undertaking any machine operating or general engineering duties
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance
- This role would also suit an apprentice or someone with a couple of years broad engineering experience
