Job Location: Ferndown, Dorset

Job Type: Ongoing contract

Salary: £14.50 per hour (£565.50 per week / £29,406 per annum)

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.45pm & Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm

We are currently looking to recruit for a Metal Cutter / Sheet Metal Worker on a long term basis for a busy and well-established Manufacturer. You will be preparing the metal for the manufacturing team to assemble into cabinets. Working within this small team you may be required from time to time to help out with other duties to ensure workflow is met.

In this role you will be required to undertake:

  • Cutting metal to manufacturing requirements
  • Working to job cards & drawings
  • Operating hand and power tools
  • Measuring out of materials
  • Prepping materials for production i.e., bending, folding etc
  • Finishing of materials i.e., finishing / polishing etc

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a previous background working within sheet metal cutting / fabrication
  • Be able to read and work from drawings / job cards
  • Ability to pick things up quickly
  • Be willing to learn and have a 'can do attitude'
