Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
Key Duties
- Repair vehicles (mainly HGV, but also light vehicles) and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicles operate correctly.
- Conduct diagnostic work on vehicles using relevant diagnostic equipment to resolve issues.
- Complete vehicle servicing activities safely and to high quality, in line with internal and manufacturer requirements.
- Apply strong technical knowledge of a wide range of vehicles with high attention to detail.
- Work well with customers, maintaining a patient and friendly attitude.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years vehicle technician experience since qualification.
- Qualified to City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
- Effective diagnostic skills.
- Strong interest in motor vehicles.
- Class 1 or 2 licence is an advantage but not essential.
- Solid interest and/or experience in vehicle diagnostics and electric/hybrid vehicles is advantageous.
