Location: Ferndown, Dorset

Type: Permanent

Salary: £11.85 – £21.10 per hour (or £26,190.45 – £46,632.30 per annum) depending on level of experience

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Key Duties

  • Repair vehicles (mainly HGV, but also light vehicles) and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicles operate correctly.
  • Conduct diagnostic work on vehicles using relevant diagnostic equipment to resolve issues.
  • Complete vehicle servicing activities safely and to high quality, in line with internal and manufacturer requirements.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge of a wide range of vehicles with high attention to detail.
  • Work well with customers, maintaining a patient and friendly attitude.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years vehicle technician experience since qualification.
  • Qualified to City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
  • Effective diagnostic skills.
  • Strong interest in motor vehicles.
  • Class 1 or 2 licence is an advantage but not essential.
  • Solid interest and/or experience in vehicle diagnostics and electric/hybrid vehicles is advantageous.
