We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading Salesforce partner within the non-profit sector, who is looking for an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to design and deliver innovative Salesforce solutions that help charities raise more, reach more people, and deliver life-changing services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong Salesforce Architect to use their expertise for good, working with purpose-led organisations and helping them maximise the value of the Salesforce platform. This role can be based remotely in the UK or Spain, with occasional travel to client sites, or hybrid from offices in London or Barcelona.
The Role
As Salesforce Technical Architect, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients, leading the technical design and delivery of complex Salesforce implementations. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their challenges, architect scalable solutions, and guide delivery teams through successful implementations. You will bring a calm, pragmatic approach to solving complex technical challenges, ensuring solutions are robust, future-proof, and aligned with Salesforce best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical architecture and design of Salesforce implementation projects.
- Work closely with client stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance and Salesforce expertise.
- Design secure, high-performing Salesforce architectures across multiple clouds and integrated systems.
- Own the creation of technical design documentation and architecture artefacts.
- Lead best practice approaches across security, performance, development processes, and governance.
- Identify technical risks and proactively work with stakeholders to resolve challenges.
- Support development teams through technical guidance, mentoring, and peer reviews.
- Oversee integrations between Salesforce and third-party platforms.
- Support pre-sales activities, including technical input into RFP responses and solution proposals.
- Stay up to date with emerging Salesforce technologies, including AI and Agentforce capabilities.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong experience as a Salesforce Technical Architect delivering complex Salesforce solutions.
- Previous Salesforce development background with expert-level Apex and Lightning Web Components experience.
- Expert knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture principles and the wider Salesforce ecosystem.
- Strong integration experience, including Salesforce integration patterns and best practices.
- Experience with Large Data Volume Salesforce environments and performance optimisation.
- Experience with release management and Continuous Integration within Salesforce.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce governance processes and standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience working within a Salesforce partner or consultancy environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience working directly with customers.
- A genuine desire to work with non-profit organisations and support Tech for Good initiatives.
- Salesforce Certified Identity and Access Management Architect.
- Experience with Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Data Cloud.
- Knowledge of Salesforce DX and modern DevOps approaches.
- Experience with version control tools including Github or Bitbucket.
- Knowledge or experience of Agentforce and Salesforce AI technologies.
- Previous experience working with charities or non-profit organisations.
- Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud or the legacy Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).
